Should you trust your gluten intolerance test results?

Did you know ALL (yes ALL) oats, and oat milk, are glutinous?

So you’ve had gut problems for ages. You may have even tested negative to gluten intolerance. But you feel like crap and your annoying gut symptoms are interfering with your life. So what the hell is going on in your gut when in comes to gluten??

Currently, when you visit a doctor for coeliac or gluten sensitivity testing, the focus is on antibodies (blood tests), and colon biopsies. But these only determine a tiny portion of how your immune system can be triggered by gluten. Current blood testing only acknowledges ‘gliadin’ and ‘glutenin’ as gluten proteins, and if your test reveals no issue with either of these, then your doctor will tell you that gluten is not the problem. However, there are actually hundreds more proteins and compounds found in wheat, corn, rice, and other grains which behave the same way in our bodies and lead to symptoms synonymous with gluten sensitivity. In a nutshell, your blood test result can mislead you into thinking gluten is not a problem when it actually IS.

Should you trust your gluten intolerance test results?

Current gluten intolerance blood tests can be very misleading and lead to progressively worse health.

Another problem with traditional gluten intolerance testing is that people react differently to glutinous proteins. While many experience gut and immune problems, psychological problems, migraines, skin issues such as psoriasis, fibromyalgia, MS, chronic fatigue and many many more symptoms are related. The checklist actually has over 200 diseases.

Traditional ‘gluten free’ diets are often not enough to relieve symptoms and initiate gut healing.

A standard ‘gluten free diet’ is often not sufficient in healing your gut and getting rid of your symptoms once and for all.
